Margarita jelly shot recipe, perfect for Summer and a totally fun way to have Margarita cocktail! I wanted to make a Tequila Boom Boom, but I ended up doing a Margarita. Take it to the beach on cooler, for a picnic, for a party. I love the lemon sugar on the top.
11/2 envelopes unflavored gelatin (3 teaspoons)
2 oz tequila
1 oz lemon juice ( peel the zest before and keep it) 1 lemon
1 tbs syrup or sugar
2/3 water (hot)
1 lemon zest
1 tbsp brown sugar
In a bowl, mix the tequila, Cointreau, lemon juice, syrup and gelatine. Stir until gelatine completely dissolves let stand few minute. Add the hot water and stir. Pour into ice molds and refrigerate until firm for about 4 hours or overnight.
Mix sugar with lemon peel
To serve, I garnish each shot with the lemon sugar and sprinkle with sea salt
