You have only $5 to spend on food, what do you get?—
“Here in Stockholm I would get a ‘korv’, it’s like a hot dog but with a real sausage, good bread and sauerkraut.”

We had a little kitchen chat with Stockholm graphic and textile designer Paula Maso.

What did you have for breakfast?
Two oatmeal “cakes”, one with crunchy peanut butter and the other with my new obsession… A chestnut and walnut jam from danish brand Nicolas Vahé, it’s too good to be true. Also a large glass of water and coffee, black.

You have only $5 to spend on food, what do you get?
Here in Stockholm I would get a “korv”, it’s like a hot dog but with a real sausage, good bread and sauerkraut.

What’s your drink?
Non-alcoholic: passion fruit juice. Alcoholic: craft beer.

What is never missing in your fridge?
Avocados. I could eat them every day.

If there was a dish named after you, what would it never be?
Anything coconut related. Ugh.

It’s 2 am, where do you eat?
Truth be told, it has been ages since I’ve been out that late! I would probably be home and grab a bag of chips or make some pop corn ;)

Deal with the devil: To what extreme would you go to eat your favorite food one last time?
I don’t think I have a favorite food in particular! Is that bad? At least it means I don’t have to cut any deals with the devil! Hahaha.

Why is your guilty pleasure actually good for you and what is it?
Avocados again! My husband says I have an issue but they’re healthy, packed with good fats and taste delicious with almost anything. Can’t live without them.

And finally, I’m coming over right now, what are we eating?
Leftover quinoa, kale and red bell peppers. We would make a stir fry and for dessert I have raspberry sorbet, which I’m in love with at the moment.
