Thanksgiving is finally over, now for festive days ahead

Lola Lobato - December 11, 2013 10:44 am

It’s been more than a week since Thanksgiving celebrations and it’s just now when we’ve finished all the photos for the Thanksgiving posts. I think you can get the whole picture of what it is all about in my kitchen. I can now finally move on with enthusiasm to the winter posts and new festive days to come. Wish you were here!

Due to quantity of dinner guest, and just one oven in the kitchen we ordered 3 turkeys from the kosher deli. One whole cut, one carved and sliced, and the other, the one in the picture is sliced and then put back together into a turkey shape. The work was an amazing.

The Final Hour Before Thanksgiving Dinner

Lola Lobato - November 28, 2013 7:53 pm

Today was the best Thanksgiving ever: having everyone locked in the kitchen for twenty four hours. The trip, not the arrival, is what I love. Kosher turkeys we ordered arrived, most of the dishes are almost out, and we are in the final hour. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! xoxo

What My Thanksgiving Is About

Lola Lobato - November 28, 2013 2:19 pm

Thanksgiving Is About 01 la maison du monde

This is what my Thanksgiving is all about. This is what makes me happy and I am most thankful for. I am so thankful to have my family cooking with me in my kitchen. Those close by and far away, we are all together. After a burn, a cut, a garden umbrella knocked over by the wind, a couple burned dishes to restart, a fallen pie, I couldn’t be happier.

Ok everyone, don’t forget to not eat too much for lunch before Thanksgiving. You don’t want to be too full, even though if you are cooking it all looks delicious. It makes me think though, what will we do if we don’t have enough food? Anyone do delivery tonight?
